This is a critical moment. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared the resumption of the genocide in Gaza as “just the beginning”. On the morning of Tuesday 18th March, Israeli forces killed at least 436 Palestinians, including more than 183 children, as airstrikes targeted already devastated communities across the entirety of the strip, including Gaza City, Deir el-Balah, Khan Younis, and Rafah. One week later, the death toll stands at more than 700 people, with at least 1,200 injured.
Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement on a near daily basis since it began on 19 January – killing and maiming Palestinians across Gaza and the rest of Palestine, blocking essential aid, temporary shelters and equipment to remove rubble, and cutting off electricity.
